New! An adorable alternative to Engel's popular discontinued Merino Nappy Pants.

Engel's merino/silk nappy cover is a fine knit single layer cover ideal for daytime and home use and for those hot summer days. The fine nappy cover/bloomers made from a blend of organic merino wool and mulberry silk is absorbent and contains natural lanolin to provide moisture resistance. They are surprisingly effective considering they are such a fine lightweight nappy cover - Lanolise for use as a Nappy Cover with our Lanolin conditioner or simply use them as little shorts or bloomers over the nappy.

Using this as a nappy cover won't work for night time use or naps as it is not thick enough and works best when used over a sufficiently absorbent cloth nappy booster and when you're around to make more frequent nappy changes. Great for hot/muggy summer days. Lanolise an additional pair of  for an extra leakproof layer over this nappy cover. Works well!

For use as nappy pants: Re-lanolise after washing. When new, wash and re-lanolise. If they leak, lanolise again or increase booster under with the wool boosters by Ruskovilla in our Nappy Liners section.

Care: Handwash in wool shampoo, press out moisture in a towel and dry in shade. For easy handwashing try one of our  for delicates. Simply soak woollens in tepid water for 15mins then slow spin in the machine to remove water and hang to dry.

Note on using machine wash: Wool washing programmes of washing machines vary massively, therefore we can not grant warranty for any damages. With regards to using your wool washing machine cycle always use cold. If you choose to wash at 30 degrees the machine will still rinse with cold water and this shock to the fibres can cause the wool to shrink.
